Faster Pussycats: EXPOSED!

For months now, TCRG's Cinderella-story Faster Pussycats have been claiming the secret to their success lies in nothing more than teamwork, togetherness, and potluck dinners...

this past Saturday, at All Teams On the Track, we found out the REAL story.

WE LOVE THE PUSSYCATS! (Even though they are obviously witches who have made somesort of devil-pact to be this freakin' good at roller derby. We can't even stop cheering for them when we're playing them, such is their sorcery! Plus, they're all really really nice!) Really, it's pretty amazing how hard this team has worked to turn it around. We like playing with the Pussycats so much we don't even mind if they kinda wipe the floor with us. Besides, we got our licks in too, thankyouverymuch! Easily the most fun bout of the season yet - hope it was as fun to watch as it was to play. Thanks to everyone for coming out, we really love you all!

Rollin' Out

It's with a heavy heart (yeah, it turns out we do have those!) that your favourite band of motley mercenaries announces the retirement of #007 Percy Galore, mistress of the pack and general babe-about-town.

Try to control your wailing and your gnashing of teeth, friends. Percy ain't sure she's hanging up her skates for good just yet, and we're willing to bet that she'll be popping up again... somewhere. (Some little league in some tiny town is going to hear the Littlest Hobo theme song and wonder what the hell...)


Riot Girls for Life, dude. The door to the Compound is always open (and if I'm passed out in front of it, just use the secret knock. We'll have our monkey butler by then for sure!) We'll miss you.

AN ANNOUNCEMENT TOTALLY WORTHY OF WAY MORE FANFARE THAN THIS TERRIBLE MS PAINT DRAWING! (which took 2 hours of my work day, thankyouverymuch.)

Us Riot Girls are just pleased as punch (Dammit, I said as punch! Stand down!) to announce that our sister in arms Stoli Von Stingray has been drafted to the Terminal City All Stars!

This is kind of a big deal, folks. The All Stars are the best of the best, and Stoli's not only a great pick up for them, but she'll be bringing all kinds of secret-squirrel strategy back to the Compound for us! To this we say fine, All Stars. We aren't the jealous type. But just so you know, we've got our eyes on you.

Huge Congrats go out to our girl Stoli, and to all the new additions to this season's All Star roster!

Why Can't We Be Friends? (To the tune of 'Why Can't We Be Friends?')

Tomorrow's game day people, and you've got scant little time to pick up those cheap advance tickets! (Haha, yeah right. We know you got yours weeks ago... *wink* ) Us fine young Canadian girls and our sisters down south are going toestop to toestop once again!

First whistle of the wicked amazing, totally outrageous DOUBLE FREAKIN' HEADER blows at 6pm and that's when we, your Soldiers of Awesome, take to the track to take down The Tidepool, up across the border from Tacoma's Dockyard Derby Dames! We've been training hella hard (yeah, even during the Cup run. Yes, seriously!) and we're ready to freakin' rampage at the PNE Forum. Bring your loudest battle cries, Riot Fans - we're eyeing that first win at home!

Stick around for the second bout of the night when the league champion Bad Reputations take on the Taco Kickers outta Everett, Washington. It's gonna be awesome, you can quote me on that.
